How To Test An Amplifier?
To make sure you buy a working amplifier, it is part of you, before you use your money, the test is very important.
You should start by passing electricity through the 4 channel digital amplifier. You make a purchase, you should make sure it has the correct voltage. For example, if the amplifier is designed for use in the car, it should have 12 volts.
To test the amplifier you only need to touch the power wire to a power source. When the power light comes on, it's proof that the amplifier has a good circuit board.
After doing this you should test it to confirm if it puts out sound. To do this you need to hook the speaker wires or RCA cables that are coming out of the head unit to the speaker. You should then connect the speaker to the output side of the amplifier.
If the power light comes on, but you don't have any sound, it's a sign that amplifier has been overloaded and will most likely not work. If good quality sound comes out, the amplifier is good.
To ensure continuity you should check all the fuses. Fuses are usually colour coded and come with a plastic body. You should consider checking the fuses when you connect your amplifier to a power source and doesn't turn on.
You should check the inline fuse which usually comes with a black or clear plastic casing. The fuse tends to split down the middle or twist apart. You should check whether it's cracked or corroded. If it is, you should consider replacing it. You should also consider replacing the fuse if the wire inside it is in two pieces.
Using A Digital Multimeter
A digital multimeter helps you to measure the amount of current passing through your amplifier. To measure the current you should connect the red multimeter probe to its positive port and then turn on the digital multimeter then set the measurement dial.
Then, you should connect the red multimeter probe to the negative side of you are learning device. You should also black multimeter probe to test the connection to your amplifier has been deleted lines. When you do, you'll see the number of current flowing into your amplifier.

All about the same time you can test the amplifier yourself, it is wise that you hire professionals for professional test it.
